Yorkie  Health and Health Concerns

This  section discusses some of the ailments, injuries and diseases that are common  with the Yorkie breed.  Although you may never need this information, it is very  important that you are at least aware of these conditions and afflictions and  what to do if you see similar symptoms in your new puppy.

Care  Immediately upon Receiving your Yorkie Puppy

Within  two business days of receiving you Yorkie from Northern Virginia Yorkies, you  need to take your puppy to the Veterinarian for an examination.  This is to  protect you, Northern Virginia Yorkies, and most importantly, your new puppy.   As an ethical and responsible breeder, I would never knowingly provide you with  an unhealthy puppy.  Having a Veterinarian thoroughly examine your Yorkie is the  best way to protect him/her from life threatening health conditions.  On the  outside chance that something wrong is found with you puppy, you have met the  requirements for the initial health Guarantee.  More importantly, however, you  will have provided an opportunity for the puppy to receive the care it needs.
